Director & Coach
HELLO!! My name is Coach Chayla!!! I am the director and coach for WYC! Happy to be back for another year!
I graduated high school from Tualatin high in 2011, and I’ve been involved with cheerleading since 2010. Before cheer, I was a competitive gymnast at Metro gymnastics for 10 years giving me good background knowledge in tumbling and body awareness. I have been coaching cheerleading for over 10 years, ranging from youth to high school programs.
When I’m not coaching, you can find me at my salon, which I opened the end of 2019, running a side hustle with my fav shampoo company, or at our family farm! I have two cats, two dogs, and a super supportive husband. I also still do handstands on a regular basis if any one wants to challenge me! I’m super excited for this new season!!
Youth Team Coach
Hi Everyone my name is Coach Makaylen! I am super excited to see everyone and meet all you new kids!! A little bit about me, I graduated from Tualatin High School where I cheered and coached one of the youth teams there with my older sister Chayla!
I'm a very patient, compassionate, kind and am so excited to help out whenever I can. In my free time I love hanging out with my dog and friends! I have a three year old boxerpit who is the best adventure buddy ever. I'm currently working as a nanny and it has been so much fun.
Cheer has been a blessing in my life and is honestly the best sport!! It helps build our confidence and self esteem, your performance skills and is probably the most fun way to get some exercise!! With that being said I'm SO excited to see everyone and have some FUN!!
Youth Team Coach
Hi there my name is Coach Abby! I graduated from Sherwood High School where I cheered for football as well as traditional and game day competition. I have been cheering for 5 years at the middle school, high school, and collegiate level. I am going to Western Oregon University and majoring in elementary education. I have always had a passion for cheer and children so why not put them together!
In my free time I enjoy photography, puzzles, and crafts. I am big on family so I also spend a lot of time with my family. I have 2 dogs that are a border collie and beagle mix and a dachshund. I love snuggling with them and watching a good Hallmark Christmas movie every once in awhile.
I have always loved stunting and competitions. I have experience in game day competition which is focused on cleanliness and the game day aspects of cheer such as dances and cheers. I am hoping to bring more knowledge to the program in game day competition and eventually would love to compete in this category. This will be my second year coaching youth cheer but my first year at Wilsonville. I am so excited to start this journey!!

Hello! My name is Coach Karina!
I graduated from Tualatin high school in 2020 and did competitive cheerleading for eight years, 5th grade to senior year. Coach Chayla was actually my coach throughout my cheerleading years and has had a huge impact on the person i’ve become today. I was on varsity for all four years of high school and i’ve won two state titles and one national title for Tualatin!
I was attending Oregon State majoring in biomed and now i’m taking a break for work. I work at Homegoods and will be going back to school online to finish my undergrad. I plan to graduate with a degree in education to become an elementary school teacher!
Cheerleading has been a wonderful part of my life and I hope to share the joys of it with the kiddos coming through the Wilsonville youth program! it’s taught me how to be a team player, a leader, and step outside my comfort zone.
I started coaching 2 years ago for Wilsonville youth and I’m super excited to continue coaching with the Navy team! GO CATS!!
Hello all! My name is Coach Ian. I’m super excited to be getting this season of cheer started!
This is my second year as a coach; last year I had the honor assistant-coaching the navy and silver teams (after they collaborated), and it was an incredible experience. I have cheered for about 6 or 7 years now. I began in my sophomore year at Tualatin high school, and continued on into cheering in college for Trinity Valley Community College, in Texas! Go Cards!
I fell in love with cheer because as a sport it challenges each athlete individually to push themselves and develop a better sense of physical awareness and control. More importantly it teaches us as a team to work together and make sacrifices for each other in order to put our best foot forward!
In my time away from cheer I am either working at the Walgreens pharmacy in Tigard or trying to get out of the house by any means!
Let’s make this season another great one! GO CATS
More coaches to come :)
